I need a giggle, what about you?

Sooo..... as my car is sitting in the driveway with a broken water pump and a non-functioning timing chain, I thought it was high time we shared a bit of a giggle.

I just went through my email and I can't seem to find the original message, so forgive me that I forgot who sent it in to me, but I simply can't resist this. I also cross posted it in a few places as well for the laugh!

Serious buyers only need reply to a flaccid anatomically correct equine toy? Doesn't THAT put a picture in your head?

Bet its nowhere near the truth.....

Its a Schleich Horse Toy that retails for about $5-$6!!!

Here, look for yourself!

Toys R Us has him in Grey for $6.99 + shipping.

I really can't help but wonder if someone really paid $10 for him?

My question is why advertise it as 'anatomically correct" yet use the word 'flaccid'?

Really got to wonder about people sometimes.....

OT: Things That Are Annoying Me

The kitten is trying desperately to get to my cereal bowl and is determined to run over my keyboard 653214.58798 times every second but I myself will hammer this out in the 10 minutes I have before heading out the door to work.

I rarely watch the news any more - I used to be somewhat of a news junkie - but I kinda got a way from it for a while. However this past few days I have paid a bit more attention and I was completely shocked at what I was missing...

The 33 Chilean minors trapped 2500+ feet underground and they can't get them out until CHRISTMAS???? The BF and I were talking about this after we heard CNN Report that nice little tidbit. Neither of us can believe that it would take that long to get them out - our thinking is if they can get food and supplies and ELECTRICITY down to them for the 'long haul' why can't they get the people out? I'll have to  look into that further I think but later. It just astounded me to hear that.

Then, same day, there was this story about the British woman who put the cat into the dumpster. If you haven't heard or seen this - its mind boggling.

http://news.yahoo.com/video/world-15749633/outrage-over-cat-tossed-in-trash-21579767#video=21579767

The cat was fine, a little hungry and thirsty after spending 15 hours at the bottom of a closed GARBAGE CAN, but otherwise ok. The part of this story that really pisses me off is the local authorities are not only NOT charging her with any type of cruelty - but instead are GUARDING HER from harm!!! Ok, I get that there are a lot of people that feel strongly about this (I'm one of them) but I would never fly across 'the pond' and do anything about it. However, there are people that will, and I get that she might be in danger. But not charging her for the act? Thats one of the most ridiculous things I've heard in a long time.

What else was on my quicky "Thats Annoying!" list for today ....

The lady that won the Clinton Anderson DVD has not paid yet. Today is day 6, and still no word that she even got the 2 invoices I sent her. She contacted me prior to the auction ending and wanted proof the DVD's were not counterfiet, and she had no problems replying to that but now that its time to pay - not a peep. I'm starting to get worried.... its $65.00 I really need right now....

And really quick ...

I NEED ADS! Lol.

I just can't get the time for some new ads right now. I have a few that have been sent, but I don't even have enough for a full week right now. To make my life even MORE fun, my daughter wants to join Girl Scouts and because I was a Girl Scout for nearly 20  years, I have this crazy thought that I should start a troop... as if I don't have enough to do.....

But send them in. I'll start posting them again, I promise!

OT: This is why I love ebay sometimes...

So, I've been haunting ebay for the last few weeks trying to pick up breyers dirt cheap. I am bidding (and currently winning) on this item but I had to share, cause if this were an ad on CL, I would so post it.

Does that LOOK like an Appy to most of you? LOL. This is what the description says:

Breyer Horse
I believe this to be an Appaloosa Horse but not making any guarantees!  I'm definately not an expert on breeds of horses but it resembles several of the others that have been listed on eBay!
The paint on this horse is very neat and the marking next to it's mane is only present on the one side that shown in the photo.  The other side is solid brown.
This Breyer Horse has not been cleaned, so it will arrive with some dirt, I didn't want to take the chance to ruin any of the original paint.  I am going to say that there is paint missing from the top of the ear but it could have originally been painted and was missed.  It is marked Breyer on the inside of it's hind leg.
Tail & Front Leg are raised as you can tell from the photo.
If you have any questions about this horse, please ask before bidding, I do not accept any returns.
I ship via the USPS on Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays.
Paypal and Personal Checks Accepted.
Thanks for viewing this item and please view my other auctions for other Breyer Collectible Horses.

I find this to be highly amusing! This "appaloosa" (if and when it arrives to me) will be subject to the model horse version of a chop shop hehe. I plan on going very Sweeney Todd on it but I promise she/he will come out just fine. (Hey, I need something to practice painting on!) I haven't yet gone and ID'd the Breyer in the auction but I'm at least pretty sure that the paint job isn't an Appy!

OT: We Need Some "Happy"!

Happy Friday!

Going a bit off topic today, as its Friday (DUH), payday for me (YEA!), and quite frankly,  we need some happiness for leading into the weekend, don't you think? Besides, I think the Friday (or Thursday lol) Featured Fugly Stallion (FFFS, to you new readers) yesterday did quite well for our weekly fugly breeding stallion. I'd say the 4-5 year old BLM mustang stallion thats not even quite even yet completely saddle broke, yet is still being bred is Fugly enough, yes!?

So for most of you that weren't following our little dramatic blog post aftermath last night, you should absolutely go back to yesterday's post, and read the post again - three separate updates were posted by me as things were getting found out by those working locally to get those horses upgraded. Tons of comments were left, some were highly intriguing!

As I normally write up the blog posts for each day the night before, and am doing so now, I am still (even at 11:32pm my time!) getting a slow and steady flow of information on those horses. In a nutshell, she posted three or four more ads today? It started with all horses were reduced for quick sale, or would be sent to the auction on the 26th. I started posting that everywhere I could, and several hours later, she posted again that the stallion and the pony were still up for sale as she was 'downsizing to 5', but the mare was no longer available. More emails came forth proving her lies, and even one of her HIGH SCHOOL classmates posted saying that they still hadn't graduated high school yet, and she is the most "ignorant and idiotic girl" in real life.

And THEN, while searching for another ad she posted late in the evening, but was flagged before I could get to it, I found that someone had posted a link to the blog post to warn everyone about her. *giggle* I know I shouldn't laugh, but it is kinda hysterically insane - this whole thing.

Anyways, whether or not she still has the mare is a huge question right now, and apparently she still has the stallion and the pony still available. We'll see what happens today - I have to work for a short time, but its my 'short day' and will be home in the afternoon. I also get emailed all comments to my phone, but have not yet figured out how to respond so it doesn't go directly to the person's email, instead of HERE, where I want it. Suggestions, anyone? LOL.

There is a very nice bright spot in all of this giant messiness, and that was the worstclpetads.wordpress.com blog was brought into my radar of blogishness. This blog is ME, with all the snark, attitude, righteousness, sarcasm *hehe*, and harping on about PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY just like *I* do; only it's dealing with all the other poor animals that get dumped and sold and given away on Craigslist. Its very amusing and well worth the time spent reading - I especially enjoyed this post. Way, Way too funny!

P.S. - its WORDPRESS, not blogspot lol. I typed it originally as blogspot - that address doesn't exist!

Lets all suffer through a moment of awkwardness while I admit I have no idea if the blog writer is a him or her, so I will simply say its wonderful to meet you, the writer of this wonderful blog,  and I will be adding your blog to the links at the sidebar. Also expect to receive ads from me as well; as I also look for fugly trailers and fugly tack as well :)

So go forth and read, readers.

But not before I share the BESTEST news of them all!

TRIXIE WAS FOUND YESTERDAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I received an email update about 3 pm-ish with the Firecracker news that she had been found.

Details are a bit sketchy at the moment, but heres basically what happened. She was not taken by an unsavory person - she was part of a larger group of riders that are part of the Arizona Back Country Riders. They have a message board that K is a member of. The group is a statewide informal club of trail riders that get together for planned group rides all over the state. K let me know she had been found, so I thank you very much for that! (I also created an account there too, btw!)

Last weekend the Riders were up in a recreational area just outside of Prescott, Arizona, and during a rest stop, two horses got loose from the main group. The riders had dismounted and were allowing some of the horses to graze at will while not tied up. Trixie was one of the two that decided to go sightseeing all by her pretty painted little self. The other horse was caught almost immediately, but Trixie eluded capture.

I'm sure she thought it was a wonderful game that she was playing with her people!

So the group, and what an amazing group it is, immediately banded together this week, and search parties were formed almost on the fly daily going up to the area to search for her. Air patrols were considered, and everyone under the sun here in AZ was notified, if you check out the bridleandbit.com (at least at time of writing) on the home page you'll see a blurb about Trixie. I'm sure they'll be notified asap, if they haven't already been - so at some point in the near future it might change to a found blurb :) Which is just awesome.

So Trixie decides to blaze a few trails on her own, while people are looking for her for nearly 4 days. One of the board members contacts an Animal Communicator who is also a member, and has assisted in many lost pet rescues. Now, whether you believe in humans communicating telepathically with animals or not, she played a MAJOR role in locating Trixie. She was able to pinpoint almost exactly where the mare was by describing the area immediately around the horse (within a few feet of a stream, beside a tree that looks like ...., etc), how the horse was hung up (saddle on brush), and even that Trixie knew people had been close, but had not yet seen her - and also that she really wanted to be found. *AWWWWWW*

She was found still saddled, and a bit more dehydrated than we would all like our horses to be, as she couldn't actually get to the stream to drink. She was immediately taken to a vet up in the area, and the thread on the board as of midnight tonight was still awaiting the owner to post updates. Everything since she was found was posted by friends of the owner, as she was *obviously* dealing with the mare's immediate health issues.

ADDED: VIDEO! I love this :). She's obviously so totally happy to be with people again, you can read it in her body language. She keeps sniffing the people around her, won't take her ears off of them, and when Karen goes to kiss her on the forehead she lowers her head and closes her eyes - almost as if she's saying, "OH THANK YOU!"

Also gotta LOVE the huge yawn at the end! HEHE.

So, on that very happy note, I leave you to your Father's Day Weekend - *I* of course get to work straight through to Sunday again this week, so I won't be enjoying my weekend very much. However, Toy Story 3 does get released today, and I have a few free passes to a local movie theater, so I'm thinking Monday the kiddos and I are gonna go see Toys ~ and then of course, Eclipse is NEXT WEEKEND *INSERT MAD SCREAMING HERE*, you *know* who you are - and thats it for me for the night/week!

Of course, if anything else does happen with our favorite mustang obsessed teenager, I'll put it up as soon as I can. :D

Lazy Lazy Lazy!

I have spent the last nearly 24 hours (not straight through, but close enough) immersed in the online world of blogs dedicated to equine artists, and have decidedly NOT been looking for a great thursday ad for here.

(I can hear my grandmother's voice in the background, yelling at me when I got submerged into a really good book during my teenaged summers. "Lazy Lazy Lazy Girl!" :D ).

In a little over an hour, I will have to show my face at the place that gives me money every two weeks, and stay there for a few hours. Darn them. I'd rather stay here and gawk at pretty ponies online!

\

This is a picture from scaequestrians other blog, (NOT Tacky Tack Of The Day), where she has started posting about her life customizing model horses. That led me to explore other links she had listed, which led me to more links, and so on and so forth. I now have a word document with close to 100 different links listed, with details about each link, just so I can have them in one place.

Yes I know all about bookmarks, but if you SAW my bookmarks list at the moment, one wouldn't find their way around THAT giant mess without some serious migraines!

So, instead of depending on bookmarked lists of webpages, I create word documents that keep like links with like links. Its the way that works for me, since I literally bookmark EVERYTHING I come across.

I'll put out an ad once I get home, shower is calling and so is lunch, but before I do that I'd like to also put in a teeny tiny mention of the OTHER blog I write. The one that has a measly 3 posts on it, but those first 2 posts are a peek into my private passion - sculpting.

The retail job is just $$$ till I can get out of this place I'm in now, set up a REAL studio again, and get my hands covered in clay and other lovely materials like mold casting rubber, and resin. *sigh* My idea of heaven on a stick!

Off Topic Today...

I am announcing today "Share Your Blog Day"!

I LOVE reading blogs. I just don't always have the time to search them out. I also would love to put as many blogs as I can on the little sidebar thingy, so if you have one that isn't listed - post your link in the comments with a blurb about what it's about - and I'll get them all added by the weekend.

Expect a regular post later today after I get home from work!

Edit from 7:30 pm Az Time: I know I promised an ad when I got home from work. Unfortunately, due to a minor family medical issue, I will have to put the post off until tomorrow. I am sorry for those that have been waiting all day for a new ad.
